A magnificent, long but easy hike in an alpine setting, which is actually never crowded.
The 2,484-meter-high Kammerlinghorn is the only peak in the Hocheis massif accessible by a marked hiking trail. The ridge beginning at the summit of Kammerlinghorn forms the Hocheis enclosure together with Hochkammerlinghorn, Hocheisspitze, Hinterberghorn, and Hocheishörnl.
Author’s recommendation
The journey with the Alpine Experience Bus to Hirschbichl or by mountain bike to the Bindalm shortens the way to the actual starting point of the mountain route.

Safety information
In wet conditions, the descent should be made via the Mittereisalm, as the path via the Kammerlingalm can then be very slippery and unpleasant.

Roadbook
The starting point of the mountain route is the Bindalm, reachable by MTB or the Alpine Experience Bus. Alternatively, you can hike easily on foot through the Klausbach valley to the Bindalm. From the alpine pasture, the constantly varied hike first goes steeply to the Mittereisalm, then through untouched nature on a well-marked path in a wide arc to the Karlkopf, also called Karlkogel on some maps (2195 m), and from there with ever-expanding views along a wide ridge in a good half hour to the fantastic viewpoint summit of the Kammerlinghorn (2483 m).
The return route can follow the ascent path or go via the Kammerlingalm. The path to the Kammerlingalm can sometimes be quite slippery and should only be taken in dry weather.
