Roadbook
Down the other side over steep scree fields. At about 2600 meters, you pass a bivouac box. Proceed in a zig-zag pattern somewhat southward, then shortly afterward straight downhill to the east. (Here the path was slightly relocated in 2025 due to a landslide.) In the flat part of the Unterschrammachkar, you reach a path junction. Continue straight on the path marked 535. This runs parallel to the Unterschrammachbach to a small bridge. The path becomes gradually flatter and the Schlegeisspeicher lies ahead.
At the lakeside road, turn right and immediately after the large parking lot cross the bridge and turn left towards the Zamsgatterl snack station. From there, continue along the road to the end of the reservoir and across the creek to the fork in the road. Here keep right and hike about 1 km gently uphill towards the Schlegeiskees, until the hut approach (path no. 502) branches off to the left (east). Now ascend the steep slope in many switchbacks between the Wasserleklamm and the Furtschaglbach. Finally, you reach the Furtschaglhaus over moderately ascending meadows.
