The Watzmannhaus can be reached via easy paths. Up to Hocheck it becomes somewhat more demanding. The transition to Mittelspitze and Südspitze is difficult (via ferrata grade B) and not continuously secured. Absolute surefootedness and fearlessness of heights are required. The descent from the Südspitze to the Wimbachgriestal (1200 m altitude difference) requires absolute concentration until the last meter (climbing passages, secured paths, scree).
