The start point is the Drava Valley Federal Road B 100 towards Lienz. Turn right in Dölsach to Iselsberg. Here you have a wonderful view of the Lienz Dolomites. Continue through the Möll Valley towards Heiligenblut, past roaring waterfalls to the Großglockner High Alpine Road. In Heiligenblut you will find the impressive Gothic pilgrimage church with the adjacent mountaineers' cemetery. Continue onto the Großglockner High Alpine Road built in 1924 – 48 km of pure driving pleasure. The first stop is at Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe (2369 m). Here you have a magnificent view of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3798 m), and the longest glacier in the Eastern Alps, the Pasterze. Dozens of marmots frolic right next to the visitors and with a bit of luck, you can also see the impressive ibex. The route continues to the Hochtor (2503 m) and Fuscher Törl – Edelweiss Peak (the highest point of the Großglockner High Alpine Road, 2571 m). Here you have a splendid panoramic view of about 330 km, driving time about 4–6 hours, medium difficulty route, over more than 30 peaks over 3000 meters. Downhill it goes via Bruck – Schwarzach – Wagrain towards Radstadt. There awaits the next challenge with the Radstadt Tauern (1739 m). The nearly 40 km long mountain stretch leads from Radstadt via Obertauern to Mauterndorf. The very well-developed road tempts many motorcyclists to drive fast; but that is not the point – cruising is the order of the day. In St. Michael, you reach the foot of the Katschberg. Up to the Katschberg (1641 m), through the Liesertal, past Gmünd and Spittal/Drau, we approach the starting point.
