During the route, we cycle from the meeting point of the Tisza and Maros rivers all the way to the foot of the Mátra forest, while numerous thermal baths cross our path. We start from the Lower Tisza region towards the Körös rivers, then head to the Kiskunság National Park. We cross several times by ferry around the Tiszazug area and pass through Kecskemét and Szolnok. Then, cycling through Tápióság and Jászság, we end the route near Gyöngyös. The Great Plain shaped by rivers hides many marshlands, sand dunes, and oxbow lakes. The vast plain shelters rich wildlife, including many protected species.
Each section starts and ends at a thermal bath, giving ideas if you would like to soak in joint-care water after a long summer ride.
Since the Great Plain is fortunate to have many baths, numerous other individual route variations can be created to explore thermal waters and the beautiful Hungarian landscape.
