Atlantic Ring

An unforgettable journey along Portugal's Atlantic Ring, following picturesque cycling trails, mostly on non-motorized paths (asphalt and packed dirt, utilizing former railway lines turned into greenways), winding alongside the Mondego, Dão, and Vouga rivers, as well as the central part of the Atlantic Coast. Historic cities like Coimbra, Viseu, Aveiro and Figueira da Foz, filled with culture and charm. The unique combination of white sandy beaches on the central Atlantic coast and the treasures of inland Portugal, the birthplace of traditions and some of the most important wine varieties, provides a unique experience. With train connections available to and from Porto (with the possibility of extending the bike route) and Lisbon, this adventure offers the perfect blend of coastal beauty and inland exploration. The Atlantic Ring includes over 140 km of exclusive bike and pedestrian paths, as well as low-traffic secondary roads, including sections of Eurovelo 1.
