The running route begins at the "Schlagbaum", the intersection of eight paths. The first marker is to the left of the large sign on the thick pine tree. We follow the wide path along the hillside, always slightly downhill. After about 1 km the path forks; we run right slightly uphill over a crest. Shortly after, our path continues straight into a short (rough) hiking trail. Directly after this somewhat bumpy section, it continues to the right, and at 1.7 km we reach a bench with a beautiful view of Hardenburg and the Herzogweiher. After a few meters further downhill come two steps and soon another staircase, which we now follow uphill. At the top we reach the Celtic ring wall, along which we run to the right. At 2.2 km there is a monument on the right (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Höhe); we turn sharply left. After 500 m we turn left again and run up the hill a bit. At the top right and at 3.4 km follows the passage through the ring wall. Directly afterwards it continues half-left. At 3.8 km there is a sharp right turn. After another 300 m we reach a junction. We take the path going up left and keep to the upper right. Now we are on the return path of the 'Vita-Parcours', which is marked with blue signs. At 4.6 km there is another fork, which we follow left, and then at 4.9 km we arrive back at the Schlagbaum.
