The tour starts at the Bürgersaal parking lot in Saulgrub, from where you turn right onto Altenauer Straße. Keep to the right and follow the paved road until you reach a gravel path. After 200 meters, turn right behind the railroad tracks and you’ll reach the Naturfreundehaus. Continue along the path and turn right onto Achele Straße toward Saulgrub. Turn left onto Kienzerleweg and cross through the village of Saulgrub until Dorfstraße leads you up to Wetzsteinweg. Follow the gravel path for about 1.5 km, enjoying views of Altenau and the Altenauer Moor nature reserve in front of it. At the end of the path, take a sharp left and follow the paved road back toward Saulgrub. After about 1 km, turn right and follow the gravel path through the forest, past the Torfhütte. When you reach a fork in the road, follow the forest path to the left until it brings you back to the gravel path from the start of the tour. From here, follow the path back to the parking lot.
