The hike leads you from the station down into the town, towards Schulstraße, past Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, towards Marktstraße - Grabenstraße. If you haven’t yet supplied yourself with snacks for the hike, you can do so on the way through town. On this route itself, no forest huts in the Palatinate Forest are visited, but the numerous viewpoints provide a beautiful setting for a relaxing break.
Health tip: hiking first aid kit
Whether you are alone or in a group: a basic first aid kit belongs in every hiking backpack to treat small wounds or blisters, remove ticks, cool a sting, or get help in an emergency.
By the way, a wild herb that is almost always found by the roadside helps against itching and swelling of stings: plantain. Simply pick some leaves, rub them between your hands until the plant juice comes out, and apply this to the sting.
More tips about the hiking first aid kit and what you should definitely have with you when hiking are available in our hiking knowledge.

Safety information
Valuable safety tips for hiking trails can be found in the section "Brief and Clear".
General rules:
Especially in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves can conceal uneven surfaces, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop even afterwards. In adverse weather conditions, natural trails can be muddy and slippery. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such impairments on trails when hiking. If you consider some trail sections unwalkable for you, you should avoid them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures due to forest work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed, and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please observe the safety instructions for your own protection.
The trail is not barrier-free and not suitable for strollers.
Tips and suggestions
The themed route "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" takes you via the Peace Path. This short path (about 1.3 km long) leads you past orchards to Peace Square. There you will find a picnic area with a beautiful view of the more than 1000-year-old cloth maker city Lambrecht (Pfalz). You can hike the Peace Path either at the beginning or the end of your walk.Roadbook
The path starts at Lambrecht (Pfalz) train station, which you can reach either by public transport or by parking your vehicle in the adjacent parking lot. From there, the route descends into the town and passes through Schulstraße past Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, then up Marktstraße. After the monastery church, we continue towards Grabenstraße. There is the entrance to the Peace Path. We follow the Peace Path and then continue on the "Aussichten der Tuchmacher" route. At the first left bend of the gravel road, we leave it onto a fairly steep uphill path that leads us after a few hundred meters to the start of the "Tugendpfad". The Tugendpfad takes us further uphill to the "Stadter Bank" path junction. The first elevation level is reached, and on a now wide, natural path the route leads almost without further inclines to the "Beautiful View" at the "Wildsaukopf" and the wave loungers. The two names quickly become clear due to the view over Lambrecht and the rock resting on the slope. A first rest on the inviting wave loungers fits well into the schedule. Let your legs dangle and let your gaze wander over the city westward or towards Weinbiet. We continue the hike on a wide path initially without greater incline until at the next crossroads after a few hundred meters, we turn sharply left and significantly uphill. In a loop, the path leads us to the next height level, and the next two left path branches are ignored. The path now gently ascends on the north side of Schauerberg to the "Umsetzer" viewpoint. Here again, a seating area invites you to take a break, and the view from this higher vantage point offers a new perspective down on the old cloth maker town in the valley.
After the Umsetzer, the description of the path guidance known from the wave loungers almost repeats. Gently ascending further until it turns sharply left and steeply uphill. But even here, the incline ends, and we have reached the ridge. The terrain now slopes down almost on all sides, and we head in the direction of the Kaisergarten along enchanted rock formations.
The Kaisergarten was created on August 15, 1804, as a festival site for the ordered celebration of Napoleon's appointment as hereditary emperor on the "Alte Unger" cattle shelter place. The Kaisergarten, at 519 meters, is the highest point in the Lambrecht Cloister Forest. To reach the remains of the Alte Unger, simply follow the sign through the forest. Nowadays, low stone walls are still visible. Turn right onto the path (follow the marking) and cross two forest roads. Along the way, the view wanders over the heights of the Palatinate Forest. On the path, which goes through heather bushes, two wave loungers offer another opportunity to rest.
Turn right onto the marked track ("Lambrecht via 'Dicker Stein' Tower") and left before the round table. About 100 meters further, we turn sharply left onto the grass path. At the Stone of Movement, go down the stairs to the Dicker Stein Tower.
Dicker Stein Tower: The first pavilion on the Dicker Stein was already built in 1896 but deteriorated over time. In 1933, construction began on an observation tower here. In 1995 it was so dilapidated that it had to be closed. However, many helpers came together to restore the tower. Go down the path in front of the tower and at the junction turn right; now follow the marking again. Turn left onto the track and after about 220 meters, sharply right onto the path. At its end turn right onto the forest road. At a crossing, walk down left to the cemetery. Continue to follow the hiking marker. The route runs along the street. Walk down the paved street past the school. Turn right into Hauptstraße and left into Bahnhofstraße. The hike ends again at the station.
