Let's bring a blanket! Take advantage of the opportunities provided by rest areas and fire pits!
If the route feels too short, you can combine it with other trails.
I recommend using the Blue hiking trail if you are with a stroller.

Our route starts at the Hűvösvölgy terminus. Immediately, our path passes by a lángos stand, a good spot to get ready for the hike. For those craving something healthier, I recommend the paleo shop on the other side of the street. If we forgot to fill our water bottle at home, there is a drinking fountain here to replenish it.
Crossing the stone bridge—marked with blue and yellow signs—we begin our hike. Following the yellow trail, after almost 2 kilometers and 160 meters of ascent, we reach Határnyereg.
Here the paths we have been following converge: the yellow and red circular trail signs, the National Blue Trail, and the blue cycling trail. On the left, we see the memorial of the game park, on the right an unknown Hungarian soldier's grave. We continue straight ahead on an unmarked but well-trodden path.
In the first few meters, on the left side of the path, we can see a World War II building as well as running and defensive trenches. Continuing further for a few dozen meters, we see a border stone on the left, and from here we can already look forward to a beautiful view. A few more steps and to the right, we see the Hármashatár Hill, with the sports airfield ahead. Let's take the chance to lie down on the grass for a bit and enjoy the view!
We continue back along the unmarked small path. Turning right, toward the game park obelisk, we follow the blue trail alongside the airfield, where there are further opportunities for resting and barbecuing.
We return to the terminus via the National Blue Trail.
