    Safety information

Early in the year (until the end of June) or too late (from September) crampons possibly recommended. Snow is to be expected in the gravel gully and at the summit ascent. From October, the trail signs may be taken down.

    Roadbook

From Bielerhöhe (behind the Hotel/Restaurant Piz Buin) follow the marked hiking trail towards Bielerkreuz/Bielerspitze. After the first elevation level, high above the Silvretta High Alpine Road, head eastwards to the notch between Kleiner Vallüla and Vallüla. The path partially splits here, with a crossing to Kops See. After crossing some boulder fields, it becomes tiring: a gravelly gully, the route seems to change after every thunderstorm, weakly marked up to a notch. Descend a few meters then with light climbing (I+ to II-) first on the west slope then switching to the south side to the summit. For less experienced hikers/children, 3-4 pitons are present, otherwise no fixed protections. Descent as ascent!
