The section of the Murgtal path starts in "Hottingen/Ausserdorf" (700 m). You cross the federal highway and turn onto the Murgtal path. The open valley gradually becomes narrower. A short detour to the Wickartsmühle quarry. There the geology of the Murgtal is very clearly visible. Back at the bridge, it is worth taking a few steps up to the platform to admire the impressive "Strahlbrusch Waterfall". Several road tunnels follow one after another, making the valley appear even narrower and more romantic. Suddenly, the Wieladingen ruins appear high above. A small steep path over rocks, past waterfalls, leads to the castle meadow and the castle. Back again, it is only a few meters to the Lochmühle junction. Signs on the road to Lochmühle provide an insight into the diversity of fauna and flora in the Murgtal. Gradually the valley becomes wider and brighter. When you arrive in Murg, you walk a short section along the country road to the road bridge, right the Fabrikstraße, left up to Harpolingerstraße, along the yellow diamond. Again, a few steps left leads a footbridge down to the waterfall. The hiker seemingly feels like being in another area here, away from the road, and reaches the former mill site and the main street within a few minutes. This is crossed at the town hall and leads to the right to the underpass of the swimming pool and further to the Murg estuary with rest area.
