The route passes Gradinje, the Serbia-Bulgaria border, Novo Bardo, and Dragoil before arriving at Dragoman.
Beyond the border, the trail ascends to Novo Bardo, onto the watershed between Bulgaria and Serbia, at the junction of the Danubian Basin, the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean drainage basin. The trail offers a stunning view into the Sofia Plane as it further enters Bulgaria, and the landscape alternates between open valleys, cultivated fields, and low mountain slopes of the western reaches of the Stara Planina system.
The stage concludes in Dragoman, a small Bulgarian town situated on the plain west of Sofia, beneath the surrounding limestone hills and next to the Dragoman March, one of Bulgaria's rare salt marshes.
