Roadbook
From Willersdorf, the route first follows the Willersbach stream and leads into the Willersdorf Gorge. The forested section creates a particularly atmospheric setting: the further you hike into the gorge—crossing small bridges along the way—the more peaceful and unspoiled the landscape becomes.
Leaving the gorge, the loop heads to Aschau, where you’ll be rewarded with fantastic panoramic views from the observation tower. The trail continues through the gently rolling hills of southern Burgenland back toward Willersdorf. Along the way, shaded forest sections alternate with open views of the surrounding countryside.
The Aschau Loop is thus a beautiful circular trail that combines a nature experience with the cultural landscape of Southern Burgenland.
