Roadbook
From the starting point, car park Hocheck, through the tunnel. On the right side, the first signs can already be seen. We follow the sign towards Obernach with the circular route symbol 14. At the covered bench with a panorama board, we continue straight at the junction on the forest road, into a cool forest. We remain faithful to the circular route symbol. Soon the forest opens, and on our left, we see lush meadows. On the other side, a wild stream rushes next to the forest ravine, making a closer look to the right worthwhile! We reach a bench with a wonderful view, inviting a short break. Between meadows, the path continues, where a sharp right curve soon follows, according to the sign towards Obernach/Uffing. We dive back into the forest and follow the yellow arrows. Now the path leads us out of the forest area and we look out over the first marshy meadows of the Obernacher Moos. In the distance, beyond the forests, there is a wonderful view of mountainous landscapes. Back in the forest, the next sign leads us right to Obernach. From here, the moor opens in all its richness. We cross a small bridge and follow the circular route symbol at the next junction. From here, car park Hocheck is already signposted again. We continue on the gravel path along the wide moor meadows, immersing ourselves fully in the extraordinary animal and plant world of the moor. Now you can also catch the first glimpse of the blue shining Murnauer Staffelsee. We reach a wooden bridge that leads over a wild romantic small river with a mountain panorama. We continue towards the "Hörnle" in the direction of car park Hocheck. A narrow path now winds through a small moor birch forest and leads to a larger gravel path, where we turn left. On the right side, the forest accompanies us towards Murnauer Staffelsee. A sharp right turn now brings us back towards the car park (45 min). However, if you have a bit more time, you should definitely continue straight ahead to the lake, highly recommended! The path to the car park now becomes a bit more exposed and leads as a narrow path through meadows and forests. Then we hike through a last moor meadow section before the gravel path brings us back to the car park.
