Roadbook
Since the trail marking only starts in the forest, the path in the city is kept as simple as possible:
The route starts from the Tourist Information to the market square into Marsstraße and straight ahead to the roundabout at Penny Markt. Here you turn right into Holzweg and follow it for about 1.3 km until it turns left into Kiebitzweg. You then cross Augustusring and enter a residential area/Heeser Weg. You now walk slightly uphill on this path to the Jewish Cemetery. Return back to Heeser Weg and continue uphill on the right. Now the path finally becomes a "hiking trail" and you walk along a field. At the end, turn right to the road to the hospital. At the hiking parking lot at the hospital, you will find the hiking board and from here the hiking trail A3 is marked through the Hees, via Birten and Fürstenberg. From the Kreuzkapelle at Fürstenberg, however, you leave the hiking trail A3 "to the left" and continue always downhill and straight back into the city: crossing Augustusring again, straight into Viktorstraße, Marsstraße and back to the market square and Tourist Information.
