General information:
Especially in autumn, you should also be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or rainstorms, trees may still fall or branches may fall afterwards. Especially under adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect path impairments of this kind when hiking. If you find that certain sections are impassable for you, you should detour them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where trails are closed, and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please follow the instructions for your own safety.

Roadbook
From the starting point at Serinihöfchen to the destination of our hiking route, the pheasantry at the edge of Zweibrücken, nearly 30 km separate us. Serinihöfchen is colloquially called Pfarrhöfchen and is located in a small forest amidst wide fields and meadows between the towns of Schmitshausen and Winterbach. Already here, we have a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Along the ridge, we hike in the direction of Winterbach and reach the namesake valley at the edge of town. Beautiful and quiet stream valleys will repeatedly be discovered during our hike, as they are characteristic of the Meteorite Trail. We pass the church and follow the incline through the town. On easily walkable paths, we hike along meadows and forests through the rocky valley up to a breezy height, from where we have a nice view of the town Krähenberg. Downhill, we soon reach the quiet valley of the Ohmbach and the site of a meteorite find. The Ohmbach flows into the Wiesbach, and thus, we are already in the next stream valley. We pass Stampermühle and hike along the lively babbling brook and the forest edge. We have to cross a few narrow and bridge-less streams. A short but steep climb leads us through a small forest up to just before the town of Kleinbundenbach. Once again, we are enthusiastic about the varied tour because from here we look far over meadows and fields before another descent into the next valley awaits. We hike through the narrow and natural Kleinbundenbach valley; nothing disturbs the undisturbed enjoyment of nature here. In Großbundenbach, we pass the church, local history room, and castle ruins and descend into the valley with the Bundenbach. On exciting paths, we stay above the valley to the Genoveva spring and continue into the romantic Liebestal valley. At the monument before Oberauerbach, we turn right, pass Gersbergerhof and the Harzbornhaus, and follow the path through the wild Heilbach valley to Niederauerbach. From there, the path leads through Zweibrücken to the pheasantry. An optional connecting path leads back to the starting point.
