Lakescapes and panoramic views make the path an entertaining experience.
If you like, visit the local museums located along the route in Kuhardt and Leimersheim.
UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
- Fire & Smoking - Making fires, smoking, and grilling are strictly prohibited in the forest and must absolutely be avoided! Fires and thus major damage to nature and wildlife can only be prevented this way.
- Be considerate on the way - Always behave proactively, friendly, and considerately towards everyone you meet on the way.
- Nature conservation - Stay on the designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to not disturb the rhythm of nocturnal animals.
- Picnic & waste - Remember a garbage bag for on the go and take your waste back home. Use only the furnished rest areas for breaks & picnics.
- Leash dogs - Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.

Safety instructions
Despite the good marking of the hiking trails, we always recommend having a suitable hiking map for safety reasons.
Especially in autumn, care must be taken as fallen leaves on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. Trees may also fall or branches drop even after storms. In adverse weather conditions, natural paths can be muddy and slippery. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is partly required. If you believe that certain path sections are impassable for you, you should detour them.
