A scenic route through the Hörmoos and alp area between Imberg and the Nagelfluh chain.
Take the Imberg mountain railway to the starting point of the route: the top station of the Imbergbahn. Those who prefer it more sporty choose the gravel path from the parking lot past the Berggasthof Auwinkel and up to the top station. In good weather, you can already enjoy the first view here: on one side, the Nagelfluh chain towers up and on the other side, an endless expanse opens up over Oberstaufen to the Westallgäu. First, follow the alpine adventure trail through a short forest section over the alp road to the Hochbühl Alp. Past alpine meadows, you reach the Hochmoor plateau of the Häderichmoore – always with a view of the Nagelfluh chain. A small additional loop leads around the Hörmoos lake and down into the "Snow Hole." From here, the Ehrenschwanger valley opens impressively until a slight ascent leads back past the Hochbühl Alp to the valley station of the Imbergbahn – either via the alp road or the gravel path below the top station.

Roadbook
From the top station of the Imbergbahn, go through a small forest section towards the Hochbühl Alp. The paths continue through the Hörmoos area with a detour around the fauna-flora habitat area Häderichmoore. On the way back, go through the "Snow Hole" back to the Hochbühl Alp. Once back at the Imbergbahn top station, you can choose either the paved alp road or the gravel path to the valley station. The latter is chosen on this route.
