The scenically attractive Hard route leads through the beautiful, extremely diverse Hardt landscape in its eastern part. Lush green meadows alternate repeatedly with extensive forest and moor areas. In contrast, the western part of the route is characterized by the wide, often agriculturally used fields and meadows around Dietlhofer See, which is ideal for swimming in the summer.

From the starting point of the Hard route, the bathing area on the northern shore of Dietlhofer See, a narrow footpath runs along the idyllic lakeside zone of the lake towards the northeast up to the junction with the road to Dietlhofen. On little-used roads, it then goes over Rauhbühl to Gut Schörghof, where probably the most idyllic section of the walking route begins. On the beautiful path through meadows, fields and forests, walkers can fully enjoy the largely untouched nature. After a short stretch on the road towards Weilheim, an inconspicuous forest path soon branches off to the north. This leads deep into the dense, sometimes dark forest. Open terrain is only reached again at the junction to the hamlet of Dietlhofen, from where it is not far back to Dietlhofer See.

A detour to Gut Dietlhofen with its associated farm shop is worthwhile!
