The Golddorf Route Grafschaft leads you to Wilzenberg, the "holy mountain of Sauerland" with its beautiful view over Sauerland. Passing by the sculpture "Blinker II", which belongs to the WaldSkulpturenWeg Wittgenstein - Sauerland, and the specialist hospital Kloster Grafschaft.
You start the circular hike at Kloster Grafschaft, the seed of the city of Schmallenberg. Originally, Kloster Grafschaft was a Benedictine monastery until secularization. After World War II, Kloster Grafschaft became the motherhouse of the Borromean Sisters. The order operates the pulmonary specialist clinic Kloster Grafschaft.
From Kloster Grafschaft, you hike on the Golddorf Route through Grafschaft and then up to Wilzenberg (658 m). On Wilzenberg, the Wilzenberg chapel built in the 16th century invites you to linger. Just a little further, the nearly ten-meter-high Kaiser Wilhelm Tower (Wilzenberg Tower) invites you to enjoy the beautiful view over the Hochsauerland. Then it goes back down into the valley of the Grafschaft, a 6 km long tributary of the Lenne.
