Der Turm wurde im Jahre 1889 errichtet und zählt somit zu einem der ältesten eisernen Aussichtstürmen. Sowohl der sechseckige Grundriss, als auch die Stahlfachwerkbauweise mit zwei Plattformen macht den denkmalgeschützten Turm zu einem Blickfang.
