Geschriebenstein Roas

The Geschriebenstein circuit can be started and finished in any nature park community (Rechnitz, Markt Neuhodis, Kohlstätten, Lockenhaus, and Köszeg). At the event "Geschriebenstein Roas" in September, the 56 km long ultra hike is offered as a sporting competition with support from the Verein Naturpark Geschriebenstein. The distance can be completed by hiking, running individually, or as a relay. (www. naturpark-geschriebenstein.at) The challenging route leads past attractive sights such as Wallner Mill, treetop path, charcoal kiln, Lockenhaus Castle, the town center of Köszeg, thatched cellars in Cák, and the castle in Boszok. The ultra route can also be completed in stages, and you can create your own personal and individual route. The trail is marked by a hiker symbol attached to trees, roads, and wooden posts.
