From Thalkirchdorf to the Hochgratbahn

A short route to the Hochgratbahn, which can be easily combined with a subsequent ascent to the Hochgrat. Return by guest bus to the station and continue to Thalkirchdorf or on the same way on foot.
Along the paved Schwandweg (or the direct shortcuts) up to the Alpe Schwändle and further to the Moosalpe. There turn right into the forest and along the so-called "Fuchslöcher" beside the babbling brook to the fork. Follow the signs to Alpe Sonnhalde (refreshments). Continue past the Haspel Alpe and after a short ascent soon steeply down to the Weißach riverside. Here follow the path along the Weißach to the Hochgratbahn. From there return by bus to Oberstaufen with connection options to Thalkirchdorf.
