Roadbook
The hiking path starts from the Balme skating rink and develops along a trail towards the southeast. This trail is accessible also to people with reduced motor or visual abilities, thanks to its stability and the guiding elements placed along the path. During the hike, you can admire the natural beauty of the forest, with the stream flowing at the center of the valley, and a suggestive waterfall called "la Gorgia." The path offers hikers the opportunity to listen to the song of alpine birds or to observe wildlife such as ibex. After passing through a dense forest section, you reach a more open area, with a panoramic view of the rocky peaks. The route continues flat towards the east, reaching a dirt track that turns right, westward, climbing the pasture. At the end of the ski lift, you continue following the dirt track that curves left and rises towards southeast, until you reach the highest point of the hike: the Arbosetta alpine pasture. From here, you descend south along a rural road that skirts the I Fré hamlet, until the entrance of Vallone Servin. You cross the Paschiet stream using the ford, then continue along a forest trail that leads towards northeast, offering the chance to admire again the alpine fauna and flora. Finally, you arrive at the plateau of the Albaron Village, where the hiking path ends. Along the route, it is possible to stop to refresh or stay at the tourist facilities of Balme, some of which are suitable for welcoming people with disabilities or motor difficulties.
