Herzlich willkommen in unserem Bergsteigerdorf Balme im La Val d´ Ala.
Balme, ein Bergsteigerdörfer das unter der Schirmherrschaft der Alpenkonvention steht. Unser Dorf lebt in seiner Authentizität, ihren Traditionen und ihrer Kultur.
Die höchsten Gipfel der Grajischen Alpen mit der Ciamarella (3676 m), der Bessaner (3604 m), der Albaron di Savoia (3637 m), die Punta d'Arnas (3560 m). stellen eine natürliche Grenzwall zu der rückwärtigen französischen Gemeinde Bessans dar. Dadurch wurde das Val ´d Ala nur in einem geringen Masse in die politischen und miltärischen Konflike zwischen Frankreich und Italien hineingezogen.
Unser Dorf Bergsteigerdorf lebt von der Landwirtschaft und dem Tourismus. Wer stille und abgeschiedenheit sucht ist bein uns am richtigen Platz.
