Échappée Jurassienne: SAINT-CERGUE > GLAND
Échappée Jurassienne
2nd stage of the Swiss route of the Échappée Jurassienne. After the summit of La Dôle and La Barillette, there is a slow descent to reach the shores of Lake Geneva, but before that, a mandatory stop at the Oujon Charterhouse in the heart of the Vaud Jura Regional Nature Park. After passing some farms and herds of cows, hikers reach the Combe stream, the start of the Toblerones trail. Beware, there are no chocolates here, but concrete blocks used as an anti-tank defense line in 1939-45. Nature having reclaimed its rights, this unusual defense line blends into the landscape along this refreshing river like land art... Surprising!

On the French side, the Échappée Jurassienne has specific signage, so just follow the "J" on the signposts. Between the posts, you should follow the classic FFRandonnée markings, mainly the white and red GR® marks.
On the Swiss side, the Échappée Jurassienne follows the GR5 to Nyon; there is no specific marking, so just follow the corresponding "yellow" markings and be sure to equip yourself with a map, a GPS, or an up-to-date guide.
