The "Around the Moor" circular route in Althofen offers a fascinating hike through a unique moorland landscape. This approximately 5-kilometer-long trail is ideal for nature lovers and provides exciting insights into the flora and fauna of the region. The path begins at the parking lot near the moor area and leads through a picturesque landscape. The highlight of the hike is the moor, a nature reserve with an impressive variety of plants and animals. Especially in spring and summer, the moor blooms in full splendor, with colorful flowers and rare plant species.

After the hike, visit Stift St. Georgen with the abbey church and walk the path of orientation in the abbey gardens.

Follow the hiking trail marker No. 3
From Stift St. Georgen, the path leads north past the Stiftsbad and the bathing beach. The hiking trail branches off from Längseestraße, gently ascending towards Schwag and offering a magnificent view of Längsee along with its surrounding moorland. At the Schwag-St. Peter junction, the path descends slightly southwards to Dellach. Through the villages of St. Peter and Fiming, it returns, gently ascending along Längseestraße back to the starting point, Stift St. Georgen.
