Just behind the transformer station, the route winds in challenging switchbacks up the Burkenbichlberg before continuing relaxed towards Alatsee. Treat yourself to a break on one of the benches - here you are far away from everyday life. The profound and legendary Alatsee offers natural small bathing spots and a dining option at the Hotel Restaurant Alatsee.
On hot summer days, the forest provides shade for long stretches. The scenically enchanting vitality route is about half on asphalt and is perfect for beginners and returnees alike.

Roadbook
From the Weißensee parking lot (east shore), follow the hiking signs towards "Füssen" and walk slightly uphill along the road towards Alatsee. At the transformer station, turn left before shortly afterwards ascending right towards "Alatsee." During the short but very steep ascent, follow the hiking signs and after almost one kilometer, you will meet the paved road, which you follow to the right and which leads directly to Alatsee. At the Kneipp basin, the path leads left around the lake. At the hiking parking lot, turn left onto Saloberstraße, which takes you back along the paved road to the starting point at Weißensee.
Dining option is the Hotel Restaurant Alatsee.

From the long-distance train stations Ulm, Augsburg, and Munich, you will find regular train connections to Füssen.
From the Füssen station, bus line 71 towards Nesselwang takes you to Weißensee at the Geometerweg stop. From there, it is only a few hundred meters to the starting point of the route.
From Hopfen, you can reach the starting point by line 56 to Füssen (station), then change to line 71 towards Nesselwang to Weißensee at the Geometerweg stop.

Directions
Coming via the A7 motorway, exit at Füssen and turn onto the B310 towards Weißensee. The federal roads B16 and B17 also take you directly to Füssen. In Füssen, follow the local signage towards Weißensee. Shortly before Weißensee, turn from the B310 onto Saloberstraße towards Alatsee.

At the parking lot on the east shore of Weißensee, numerous parking spaces are available.
