Author’s recommendation
Since the reopening of the Tholey Abbey in October 2020, 37 newly designed stained-glass windows can be admired there. Three of the choir windows were designed by Gerhard Richter, the most important living artist of our time.

Equipment
The route is asphalted throughout except for a few short sections. A gravel section down to Dörrenbach is unfortunately not in very good condition, but it is passable with touring bikes with sufficiently wide tires. The route length of 39 km and the total of 370 meters of elevation can still be well managed by experienced children with suitable multi-gear bikes.
