From Dolný Harmanec to Kráľova studňa and Krížna
Circular route to the highest peak of Veľká Fatra (1574 m above sea level).
Experience high-mountain cycling tour starts in Dolný Harmanec.
We start the ascent on an asphalt road next to a forester's lodge, which has little traffic. After 1 km the ascent crosses a waterfall flowing from the National Cultural Monument of the Čremošniansky tunnel. It is an excellent photo stop on the way to Kráľova studňa.
We continue with ascents and descents on an asphalt and partly gravel forest road. After 12 km of views and bends, we reach the mid-point of the route - to the mountain hotel Kráľova studňa. The renovated hotel serves high-mountain tourists for rest.
We can recharge and set out to the highest peak of Veľká Fatra, reachable by bike, - to Krížna. The peak is located at an altitude of 1574 m above sea level.
The return route leads back the same way to the mountain hotel. However, we can also choose a descent to other more remote parts.
We recommend returning to the mountain hotel Kráľova studňa and then turning left to Bystrická valley. A descent awaits you all the way to Dolný Harmanec.
