The foothills of the Lúčanská Malá Fatra

The cycling route takes you from Martin along the green cycle path through the foothills of the Lúčanská Malá Fatra (Stráne city district), from where you connect along the barracks in Podháj to the old military road, the so-called tank road. The steeper climb through the forest will definitely test every cyclist, but despite that, we recommend this route even for families with children.

After mostly descending from the forests above Bystrička, you will have a view of the city of Martin, the Krivánska Malá Fatra, and the entire Veľká Fatra. From the lookout above Bystrička, you have the whole Turiec region in the palm of your hand.

Through the villages of Trebostovo and Košťany nad Turcom, you return back to Martin.
