34 km long circular route to all seven suburbs of Pirmasens with start and finish at the Dynamikum.
The start of the cycling route is in Pirmasens at the Dynamikum. From there, the circular route leads through the seven suburbs of Pirmasens. From Pirmasens it goes to Erlenbrunn. From there, a very steep descent to Niedersimten, which is only recommended for experienced riders. Afterwards, the circular route leads back up to Pirmasens, then on mostly flat terrain to Winzeln, Gersbach, and Windsberg. A challenge awaits with the many elevation meters up to Hengsberg and Fehrbach before returning to the starting point at the Dynamikum. To handle the many climbs, which are sometimes steep and challenging, good fitness or an e-bike is advantageous. The first half of the tour runs mainly alongside roads on protective lanes, shared bike and pedestrian paths, or partly on roads through the city. The second half features quiet stretches away from road traffic with beautiful views of the city and some suburbs. Along the route, there are several places to stop and numerous benches for resting.
WATCH OUT! - Campaign for considerate interaction in nature
- Be considerate on the move - Always behave in a foresighted, friendly, and considerate manner towards everyone you meet on the way. This is especially true on service roads where winemakers, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
- Picnic & trash - Remember to bring a trash bag for on the go and take waste back home. Use only the furnished rest areas for breaks and picnics.
- Nature conservation - Stay on the designated paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to avoid disturbing nocturnal animals' rhythms.

Our cycling routes often run along paths that we share with others. We therefore ask for considerate and friendly behavior at all times. Winemakers, farmers, and foresters use the service roads through fields, forests, and vineyards for their daily work (including weekends) and therefore always have priority. Due to work operations and/or weather conditions, these paths may occasionally be more heavily soiled. Special caution is also advised when riding on the (usually quiet and little-used) roads in and around the Palatinate towns.
