Adjacent to the city center, the nearly 15-hectare landscape park offers space to breathe during varied walks. You pass by gardens, orchards, a pond, and streams. Here, a number of experiment stations also provide additional opportunities for activity. These are outdoor exhibits of the Science Center Dynamikum.
Big and small nature explorers discover all sorts of remarkable things at the Strecktal Pond:
- A water playground offers a welcome pastime on sunny days, while the nature-oriented design with a sandstone castle gives children room for creative "letting loose".
- Diverse opportunities for relaxation and sports are available, including a beach volleyball court, a streetball court, and areas for inline skating, ball games, and badminton.
- Moreover, there is a DiscGolf course with 15 holes.
- The lawns are perfect for a picnic in the green.
The impressive Streck Bridge spans the Strecktal, built in 1928, connecting the city center with the neighborhoods toward Winzeln. Today, it is a landmark of Pirmasens.
