From Speyer Cathedral to Neustadt Market Square: A bike tour away from the hustle and bustle right through the Palatinate

From the Rhine to the vines. From the cathedral to the Dornfelder grape. Through the forest to the wine. One could cheerfully continue rhyming on a bike tour from Speyer to Neustadt. The route, mostly through the forest, is far from a secret tip and is certainly one of the most frequently traveled routes on two wheels in the Palatinate. And yet it is always beautiful. In Speyer, for example, you can start at the Domplatz, cycle along Maximilianstraße and the Schneckennudel Bridge by the train station into the Weststadt, cross the B9 at one of three possible points, and ride through the fields to Dudenhofen. From there, you pass the tennis club  through quiet side streets to the school center with Ganerbhalle on the northern edge of town – and then into the forest.
