Explore the 3 sources of the Spree by bike
Most German citizens probably know Berlin on the Spree well. But the question of where the river actually originates is often not answered even by Berliners. Well, it's not that simple, since there are three sources of the Spree. All are located in the beautiful Upper Lusatia. The most abundant source is in Neugersdorf at the entrance of the Volksbad. It received an ironwork casing in 1888, which was extensively restored in 1996. Visually most impressive is certainly the Ebersbach spring with its beautiful pavilion, built in 1895. At the mighty Kottmar (583 m), in Walddorf, the third source trickles from the Upper Lusatian rock to feed the approximately 400 km long Spree.

Be sure to visit the historic Faktorenhof on your tour. The monument from 1717 houses the tourist information center as well as the local history and Humboldt museum. Opposite is the inn "Eibauer Brauhaus," which will also warmly welcome you.
