The bike route leads through the villages and districts of the town of Sonthofen. It circles the town of Sonthofen on bike paths or less busy streets. Along the way, for example at the chapels, there are many opportunities for a break—both physical and spiritual. The route of the chapel loop mostly follows the village loop of the town of Sonthofen, which is very well signposted.

Roadbook
The bike route leads from the cyclist's church St. Christoph first via Winkel to the Berghofer chapel. Through the district of Berghofen you reach the road that leads up to Staig and further on to Unterried. From there, you first ride a short distance on the road towards Breiten. After a short distance, a small street branches off to Tiefenbach, where the chapel is located in the center of the village. On the road, you go downhill to the federal highway B308 and on the bike path along the road to the turnoff to Imberg. After a short climb, you reach Imberg with its chapel. Now it goes downhill again to a right curve. There a farm road branches off that leads to Binswangen. Through Strausbergstraße you go a bit towards the town center, before going left uphill to Margarethen. On the ridge, the road continues over Hofen to Beilenberg and then downhill to Altstädten to the tourist information. There you keep left (towards Sonthofer/Altstädter Hof) and ride uphill to Hinang with its chapel. On the road, it goes downhill over the Hinanger Steige to Altstädten. There you turn left and pass the train station heading towards Illerdamm. This first runs on the right side of the Iller to the Sigishofer Iller bridge. There you change sides (due to the construction site) to the left side until the footbridge, which leads back to the right side of the Iller. Now it is not far until you reach the cyclist's church St. Christoph again.
