The Bylerward Route takes you through the historic landscape around Kleve. On the route, you will discover various places in the Kleve district that are historically very interesting. Kalkar, Grieth, and Kleve itself invite you to explore the past.
Several local history museums tell of the historical impressions of the past, such as the local history museum in Grieth. But there is also something for adventurers: the family park Kernwasserwunderland or the Wisseler See are especially worth visiting for families. Here you can spend pleasant hours together, eat and drink something light, or enjoy a typical soft-serve ice cream at Kerni.
On the way back to Kleve, you can see the beautiful Rhine Bridge, Germany's longest suspension bridge, also called the Golden Gate of the Lower Rhine. Once back in Kleve, you can enjoy a relaxed stroll through the pedestrian zone and end the day.
