Bike bus route from Tarvis to Lake Faak

The bike bus goes from Lake Faak to Tarvis and back by bike.
The bike route runs along the beautiful Ciclovia Alpe Adria cycle path. Often it follows a former railway line and there are always nice rest areas and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Roadbook
Start the route with the bike bus at Lake Faak and then cycle independently back from Tarvis:
Starting from the Monte Lussari cable car car park in Camporosso, follow the cycle path to Tarvis (approx. 4 km). The town center with its many Italian cafés, restaurants, and boutiques is definitely worth a short visit. Afterwards, leave Tarvis and follow the old railway road for about 10 km to the Austrian-Italian border. From there, continue on cycle path R3C along federal road B83 for about 6 km through Thörl-Maglern to Arnoldstein. Follow the cycle path along federal road B83 further to Pöckau and then turn left to reach the church. From there follow the R3C Alpe Adria cycle path to Neuhaus and Erlendorf, where you cross the Gail river. Now cycle downstream following the signs to Müllnern. Here you cross another bridge over the Gail and immediately turn left towards Finkenstein. Through the Finkenstein moor you finally reach Lake Faak and the starting point of your route.
