The route starts on a good path but quickly leads over scree, blocks, snow, and ice. The many glacier passages and passes above 3000 meters make the route a high alpine experience for the participants.
This route in the glacier-covered heart of Tyrol takes us through an impressive world of glaciers, surrounded by white peaks that are among the highest in Austria. The characteristic feature of the area is the vastness of the many contiguous glaciers.
During the trek, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Wildspitze and the Weisskugel. The route passes the Hauslabjoch, the discovery site of Ötzi. Accommodation is in a self-catered hut and in the Brandenburgerhaus (3272 m) located entirely in the white world of snow and ice, the second highest hut in Austria! On the last day, if conditions are good, the Similaun will be climbed before descending to Vent.
