DAV Section Teisendorf Verified partner
There has also been a local group in Waging since 1969. This maintains a lively club life around Lake Waging and thus provides a local service to the members there.
With the facilities and offers of the section, which range from the climbing and bouldering hall to the section hut and on to the touring and training program, it offers a home for all mountain enthusiasts in Teisendorf, Waging and all surrounding communities.
Our section thrives on voluntary work. Our volunteers are committed and passionate about their tasks and interests and are an invaluable pillar of our association. We are also happy to welcome new members to this community, because as the section grows, so do its tasks.
The section looks after the Teisenberg and Hochstaufen north side as a working area by signposting, maintaining and caring for the paths and trails there.
The Teisendorf section also attaches great importance to nature and climate protection. We try to carpool as much as possible on our excursions or use our fully occupied section bus. We also make sure that the distance and length of the tours are in a reasonable ratio. The common goal of all Alpine Club sections and the national association is to be climate-neutral by 2030.
The Teisendorf section of the German Alpine Club sees itself as a community that promotes and cultivates mountaineering and hiking as well as alpine sports, while keeping an eye on the careful use of nature.
