At the beautiful viewpoint in the Isarwinkel The small island hill of the Hochalm offers a gigantic 360° panorama: from the Benediktenwand via the Zugspitze to the Karwendel, whose peaks stand before us lined up like tin soldiers, and to the north over Risserkogel and Rotwand area to Roß- and Buchstein. However, unique is the deep view into the Isar valley and to the north over the Alpine foothills all the way to Munich. Anyone who thinks the Hochalm is an easy forest walk is mistaken. Here, rather a brisk short tour awaits us. Above all, the crossing of the steep western slope below the Brunstlahnerkopf is challenging and can – depending on conditions – be very beautiful or quite tricky.

Hidden, lonely summits certainly belong to a vanishing species in the Tegernsee mountains. However, the Silberkopf, as a small neighbor of the Hirschberg, is still a genuine insider tip. Since it is rarely frequented, the technically easy route should only be attempted by snowshoe hikers with good navigation skills.
