Kuhmon Nivan kylän veneenlaskupaikka sijaitsee Onkilahden pohjukassa Iivantiirajärven eteläpäässä.

Onkilahden betoniselta veneluiskalta on helppo laskea vene Iivantiirajärveen.

Ranta toimii myös hyvänä rantautumispaikkana Kainuun Tervereitin vesiretkeilyreitin varrella. Palveluja, kuten tulipaikkaa, tosin ei ole, lukuunottamatta huussia.

Rannalla on tilaa pysäköidä auto.
