A bakonyi erdők számtalan olyan forrást rejtenek, amelyekhez legendás látomások, csodás gyógyulások kötődnek a népnyelvben. Egy ilyenhez tehetünk látogatást Magyarpolányból rövid sétával a S+ jelzésen.

 A forrás

Terebélyes, ősöreg fa alatt, buja természeti környezetben tör felszínre a legendákkal átszőtt történetű forrás. A kényelmet néhány pad szolgáltatja.

Itt található a forrásig vezető kálvária első stációja. A keresztutat a fákra erősített fekete, szöveges táblácskák szimbolizálják.

A legenda

A vadászt elhagyta minden ereje, a rémülettől megrettent, teljesen összeomlott.

A nő felhívására két közeli település, Magyarpolány és Bakonygyepes lelkes lakói rendbe tették a forrás környezetét, a csurgó feletti óriási tölgyfára Szűzanya-domborművet helyeztek, ami fölött Krisztus látható a kereszten, töviskoronával a fején. A vízfakadás közelébe feszületet, fafülkével védett Szűz Mária-szobrot, oltárt állítottak. A forrás azóta búcsújáró hellyé vált; időnként szentmisét is tartanak a kis oltárnál.
