The most beautiful mountain biking trails in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park
Ideal infrastructure for mountain bikers
The tours in the Palatinate Forest Mountain Bike Park are very diverse in terms of kilometers and elevation gain. There are routes between 24 and 78 km as well as between 530 and 1990 m of elevation on marked trails available. Many of them can be combined, as they intersect at several points.
On the trails, you experience the various landscapes of the Palatinate Forest up close: Six tours run through the inner Palatinate Forest, the Wasgau with its bizarre rock formations offers ten tours of varying difficulty. In the hinterland of the southern German Wine Route, there are four more tours available. In the Haardt, to the east of the Palatinate Forest, riders of all kinds will find the best single trails and flowing sections that lead around high peaks and through deep valleys.
No matter where they run, each tour is well marked and regularly checked and maintained. Mountain bikers can enjoy the Palatinate Forest all year round: Snow is only rarely found in the region. A great starting point for tours through the region is Neustadt.

On the road with professional guidance
Besides the main trails, the Mountain Bike Park Pfälzerwald also offers plenty of space for training. In Schopp, there is a training course with 15 stations, which is perfect as an introduction to the world of mountain biking. Hochspeyer features a single trail technique course, Trippstadt offers practice tracks for jump techniques, and in Pirmasens, children and beginners can take their time to get familiar with the basics before hitting a proper track. No prior knowledge is required in the bike parks in the Pfälzerwald; on the contrary, here you can approach mountain biking under guidance.
Of course, trained guides supervise the different parks with target group-appropriate offers of technique courses or guided tours. You can therefore make very good use of your time in the Mountain Bike Park Pfälzerwald to refine your riding technique. Whether beginner or advanced: from the optimal position on the bike, to starting off on terrain and braking techniques, to riding tight corners with rear wheel skidding, the program content covers it all.
Are you also interested in how your bike works and want to be able to repair small weaknesses yourself? The "mechanic courses" cover simple repairs on the drivetrain, gear shift, brakes, and wheels, as well as emergency repairs and breakdown assistance.
Mountain bikers warmly welcome!
