Ha ránézünk a terület turistatérképére, rögtön szembetűnik, hogy Bajna tágabb környezetében, Héregtől Bajnán át Zsámbékig igazából nincs egyetlen turistaút sem az Őr-hegy 347 m magas bércére Epöl határából felvezető Z▲ kivételével. Már csak ezért is megérné eljönni ide! Különösen, hogy a turistaút elején, mindössze 500 méterre a falutól találjuk a Gerecse híres barlangjai mellett (a Bajót melletti Jankovich-barlang, a Tatabánya feletti Szelim-barlang) talán kevésbé látványos, de mindenképpen méltatlanul háttérbe szorult Öreg-lyuk tátongó üregét.
Az Öreg-lyuk széles szájú bejáratához pár méteres, egyértelműen jelzett kitérő vezet a turistaútról. A tekintélyes méretű barlangnyílás mögött egyenletes lejtéssel vezet a mélybe a tágas folyosó, ahova könnyedén besétálhatunk. Először kicsit, majd egyre jobban le kell hajolnunk, de a járat mintegy háromnegyedénél egy hatalmas gömbfülkét találunk a fejünk felett, ahol újra kényelmesen felegyesedhetünk.
Mivel a barlangnak csak egy bejárata van, és a folyosó lejt, ezért a hideg levegő látványosan beszorul a járatba, nyáron a hőmérsékletkülönbség ezen a pár tíz méteren is jelentős lehet. Természetesen itt is találtak őskori és római kori cserépmaradványokat, még ha nem is olyan jelentős emlékeket, mint a fent említett barlangokban. A barlang mennyezetén több helyütt megfigyelhető ún. gömbüstöket az egykoron itt buzgó meleg víz oldotta ki.
Ha már itt járunk, érdemes felkapaszkodni az Őr-hegy csúcsára is, ahonnan szép panoráma tárul elénk a Gerecse központi tömbjére meg a környező, kevésbé ismert sasbércekre, bár a kilátást egyre jobban takarja az ég felé nyújtózkodó vegetáció. A közúttól 1,3 km alatt, 172 m emelkedéssel érünk fel a csúcsra.

- Az Epölön megálló távolsági buszokról az Epöl, faluszéle elnevezésű megállónál szálljunk le.
Directions
- A buszmegállótól Bajna felé induljunk el a főúton, a megállótól 450 méterre találjuk a fali legszélső házát, amely mellett indul a Z▲ turistaút.
Parking
- Autóval a KRESZ szabályai szerint tudunk parkolni a faluban. Az Epöl táblánál találunk parkolót, ahol a Z▲ indul.
