A feketésbarna szikla magába szívja a hőt, és visszasugározva azt viszonylag meleg mikroklímát teremt. A kőzetben jól megfigyelhetők a vulkanikus robbanások során keletkezett kőzetdarabok, méretük az ökölnyitől az autó nagyságúig terjed. A szomszédos, kevésbé ellenálló kőzetekkel az erózió szépen lassan elbánt, a kemény andezitagglomerátum ezáltal kimagasodott közvetlen környezetéből.
Mindegyik panorámás szikla tetejére kimehetünk, de legyünk óvatósak a kitettség miatt! A Kéktúra a 460 méteres magasságban lévő formáció közelében vezet el.

- Upponyból a falu szélén futó Kéktúra K jelzés visz fel a szirtek közelébe, de az utolsó métereket már jelzetlen ösvényeken kell megtenni (3,3 km, 239 m szintemelkedés).
- Választhatunk egy hosszabb utat is, ez esetben a K◼ jelzésen induljunk észak felé a faluból! Amikor ezen elérjük a K jelzést, tartsunk azon jobbra, ezzel megtaláljuk a fák alatt, jobbra kiágazó ösvényt, amely a kilátóhelyre vezet (5 km, 249 m szintemelkedés).
