Mátraszentimre közelében az autóút mellett, turista- és kerékpáros utak kereszteződésében szép, kiépített pihenőhely áll.

A Bőgős-rét nemcsak esőbeállóval, padokkal, asztalokkal, információs táblákkal teletűzdelt pihenőhely, hanem fontos közlekedési csomópont is: a Mátraszentlászó és Mátraszentistván felé bekötőút elágazása, illetve egy buszmegálló is található itt. A rétet átszeli a P és a P+ jelzés, illetve innen indul a görgő-bikki erdészeti út, amin Mátraalmáson át Szorospatakig, vagy a hegység nagy részét keresztül-kasul bejárva Recskig tekerhetünk. A biciklisekre az Egererdő Zrt. is gondolt, amikor kerékpáros pihenőt alakított ki.

A nyeregponti tisztás a műút megépülése előtt gímszarvasbikák kedvelt bőgőhelye volt, nevét is innen kapta.
