Impozáns helyre, a hegyperemre épült kilátóból gyönyörködhetünk az alattunk elnyújtózó Pécs és a Keleti-Mecsek látványában 404 méteres magasságból.
A Bertalan-szikla formája bizonyos szögből nézve megtévesztésig hasonlít egy székre, így régebben Bányaszékként is emlegették a helyiek. Tetején már 1894-ben állt egy menedékház, amit Zellerin Mátyás épített, de az 1909-es tomboló vihar szinte a földdel tette egyenlővé. Két évvel később Hamerli József helyreállította a romokat: terméskőből rakatott szilárd alapot (ez időtállóvá tette az épületet), a régi forma megőrzésével pedig kilátóvá formálta a fatetős építményt - amit elkészülte után az édesanyja tiszteletére Flóra-pihenőnek keresztelt.
A következő felújításra majdnem száz év múlva került sor. 1984-ben még hiányoztak a fából készült részek, de 2007-re már az eredeti állapotot állították vissza azzal az apró különbséggel, hogy a lépcső fakorlátjai hiányoznak. A 404 méter magasan a Mecsek oldalába ékelődő épületből csodaszép panorámát kapunk a hegylábra és az alattunk elterülő Pécsre.
A kilátóhoz az egykori vidámpark kerítése mellett sétálhatunk fel. A Vaszari Gyuláról elnevezett ösvény mellett rönkpadokat, asztalokat és egy esőbeállót is találunk a jellegzetes illatú fenyvesben. A környéken járva érdemes a kisvasúttal végigcsattogni az erdőben kanyargó síneken, és a túlsó végállomáson felfedezni az állatkertet. Nagyobb sétával a Misinán álló TV-toronyba is felkapaszkodhatunk egy újabb mecseki panorámáért a S▲ jelzésen.
