A Mária-forrás bővízű kútjától indul a szurdokot mélyítő Csondró-patak a Köpüs-tető hegy (759 m) északi oldalában. Az erdészházak kerítése mellett, a Látó-kövek tövében megbújó forrás körül pihenőpad és tűzrakóhely is található. A forrás mindig bővizű, frissítő vizével érdemes számolnunk az erre vezető túrákon! A víz egy kisméretű kőépítmény fém kivezetőcsövéből tör elő. Szintén a forrás tartozéka a pár méterrel hátrébb, terméskőből épített foglalás is. A forrásvíz támplálta Csondró-szurdok a bükki foltos szalamandra-állomány egyik legfontosabb területe.
Az egymáshoz közeli három forrást egy erdész három lányáról nevezték el, a Mária mellett Szilvia- és Ágnes-forrást is találunk a környéken, mégpedig a szintben futó, jelöletlen erdészeti utat nyugat felé követve. Előbb az Ágnes-forrást látjuk bal kéz felől, majd már a mályinkai főútra kiérve, a hajtűkanyarban bújik meg a Szilvia-forrás.

- A forráshoz legközelebb Tardona és Mályinka fekszik, mindkettő szórványos buszközlekedéssel megközelíthető település.

- A Szentlélek Turistaparkhoz közeli forrás a bükki helyi K jelzésről a Látó-kövek alatt, a K+ jelzésre térve érhető el.
- Ugyanez a jelzés közelíti meg Mályinka felől, és ebbe csatlakozik a Tardonáról érkező P jelzés is.

- Szentlélek közelében bőségesen találunk parkolóhelyeket az út mellett.
